Last week, we started the small challenges in the JB Tribe Club private group. How to make the best of your scrapbooking time

How to make the best of your scrapbooking time

When I started digital scrapbooking years ago, I looked for all the tutorials and tips I could find. I love learning new things but sometimes I felt like it was a waste of my precious scrapbooking time.

LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR PRECIOUS SCRAPBOOKING TIME, SHALL WE?

I suspect this is something we can all relate to. We all have felt this at one time or another. It's super fun to go online and look for inspiration on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook but we spend more time on social media then scrapping. 3 simple things you can do to never run out of ideas to scrapbook

I am passionate about scrapbooking, the idea of using my creativity to preserve my family stories is fascinating. Besides that, it's a great way to spend my free time. However, it is very frustrating when I have spare time and I can't find any good idea that inspires me to make a page.

I'm pretty sure you feel that way sometimes, too.

How to create a vellum mat to make your photos stand out from patterned background

How to create a vellum mat to make your photos stand out from patterned background

Weeks ago, I shared layouts from JB Studio Creative Team using You’re Rad Collection. All the layouts are awesome, but there’s one that got people’s attention on Instagram. It's Jennifer's layout.

I love the photos on her page, but something in special caught my attention. How she added a vellum mat to her background, it makes the layout interesting without looking busy. Her photos are full of colors and details and the artsy paper she used as the background would distract our eyes from them, so the vellum mat was the perfect solution for this awesome digital scrapbook page.

So, today I’m sharing a quick tutorial to show you how to create a vellum effect that can solve some design issues and add a special touch to your layouts.
